Welcome to our Tryout Information Page! We are so excited for this new season!

Let’s go Tesoro Song 2026-2027!!!

Tryout Checklist:

  1. Fill out Tryout Google Form by Monday, 4/20 at 3:30pm (see linked below)
  2. Turn in Completed Tryout Packet by Monday, 4/20 at 3:30pm to the Tesoro Front Office (see linked below)
    • Include in an envelope with your name addressed to the Tesoro Song/Dance Program:
      • 1. Medical Release (see linked below)
      • 2. Rules and Policies Last Page Signed (see linked below)
      • 3. Report Card Showing Grades from Last Semester or Grading Period
      • 4. Suggested $45 Donation
  3. Ask 3 CURRENT Teachers/Coaches to fill out the Teacher Recommendation Form (see linked below)
    • 1 Current English, Science, or Math Teacher
    • 1 Current Teacher of Your Choice
    • 1 Current Dance Teacher/Coach
  4. Athletic Clearance Completed by Monday, 4/20 at 3:30pm
    • See checklist linked at the bottom of this page, make sure physical is up-to-date
    • *Do not turn in any physical copies of anything in your tryout packet. Everything must be uploaded to the athletic clearance website. See the bottom of this page for directions!

Tryout Clinic Dates:

  • Tryout Clinic #1: Tuesday, April 21st
  • Tryout Clinic #2: Wednesday, April 22nd
  • Tryout Clinic #3: Thursday, April 23rd
    • Check-In: 3:45pm
    • Clinic: 4 – 6:30pm
    • Location: Tesoro Song Dance Room (Room 902)

Tryout Clinic Attire:

  • Top: Plain red, white, blue, or black top that is form-fitting
    • No logos allowed
  • Bottoms: Black bottoms
  • Shoes: Half-soles or jazz shoes
  • Hair: Slicked ponytail or bun mid-high level
  • Natural Makeup
  • No extra jewelry that will impede safety of dancing

Tryout Information: Saturday, April 25th 9am – 1pm*

*Arrival times vary depending on tryout group. Tryout groups will be posted here by Friday, April 24th by 5pm.

Arrive to the Tesoro Song Dance Room at designated time to stretch. Actual tryout will be held in the Small Gym in front of a panel of judges.

  • Dancers will wait in Dance Room before and after their tryout until excused.
  • Some dancers may be asked for a callback.
  • Not everyone is guaranteed a callback.
  • Some dancers may be asked to stay after a callback to discuss skills needed to be improved upon to make competition team later in the summer.

Attire:

  • Top: Plain red, white, blue, or black top that is form-fitting
    • No logos allowed
  • Bottom: Black bottoms
  • Shoes: Half-soles or jazz shoes
  • Performance make-up
  • Hair: Slicked bun mid-level
  • No extra jewelry that will impede safety of dancing

Results: Decides game teams ONLY. Competition teams will be decided end of July.

  • Will be posted here and on our website by Sunday, April 26th at 5pm.
  • Cannot contact coaches for 24 hours.
  • Decisions are FINAL and may not be negotiated.

I Made It” Meeting: Wednesday, April 29th 5-6pm in the Tesoro Library… One parent per family mandatory attendance, dancer also encouraged to attend!

Uniform Fittings: Following the “I Made It” meeting in the Tesoro Song Dance Room at 6pm. ALL members required to attend. May leave after their fittings are complete!

Spring Practices for the New Teams:

  • Tentative: May 7, May 12, May 14, May 19, May 21, May 26, May 28
  • Tesoro Song Dance Room (Room 902)
  • Tentative Time: 3:45-6pm
